Absolutlely Terrible. The "cook" literally yelled tried to physically intimidate me and refused to give me marinara sauce for asking if i could get mozzarella sticks. Ive never seen a cook so personally offended by his sad excuse for cooking. It was a pile of cheese and breading. Glad this place is closing, loooong overdue.

This is the first time in my life I have been refused service. My mother-in-law and I went here for breakfast. We were seated and our order was taken. Drinks came out but food never came. All of those around us received their food (even those who arrived after us). After 45 minutes or so we asked if our food was on the way and the waitress recommended we go to the cafe next door. When we asked what was going on all she would say was that the cook was having "problems" getting our food to us but they were not having "problems" with anyone else's food. She let us leave with our drinks on the house. The reviews of this place seem good so I have no idea what was going on on this occasion but it was a very strange experience.

Waited 15 minutes without anyone saying as much as a hello. Left without anyone acknowledging our presence.

Serious food at reasonable prices, solid management, good service

Great food in 2 great locations, owned and operated by a hard working man who knows his way around the kitchen. HOWEVER i ordered breakfast on 2/26 in Hotchkiss. chicken fried steak and eggs. The meat was old, un cubed, un tenderized and unseasoned. The coating was obviously fish fry, and the gravy was curdled and separated. It was literally the worst food ive ever had. Carey, you need to get rid of the middle aged man with the doo rag who was cooking that morning. You need people who can properly represent you.

Food and service was great

Don't waste your time! Was ignored for almost 20 minutes before we finally just got up and left. This is the 2nd time eating here. The first time I was served but staff were inattentive. Not sure why the rude vibe but would not recommend, especially to out of town visitors. There are much better restaurants in Paonia that provide higher quality food and service.

This is where I go for coffee. It's a good place to start your day. If you're in a big hurry oh well, it's not fast food. Owner operator kitchen and he makes strudel daily, his own jellies, etc. I'm putting my shoes on now, waiting for him to open at 7. Maybe see you there.

A nice place for breakfast and coffee on a lazy Saturday morning. Friendly people. Good food.

Outdoor seating!

This place is a joke! Stopped by on a weekday afternoon with only one table. We ordered burgers and a salad. It took 35 minutes to get a simple salad, and it was soggy and had probably been sitting in the window for 10-15 minutes. The waitress forgot to bring drinks and I asked her and she ignored me again. Didn’t even stick around for the burgers as we didn’t have 2 hours to wait. The cook got overwhelmed with one other table!!! Tried to support a local business and it backfired! Do not go here!!!!

The food left a lot to be desired. The french fries were inedible. I was told the machine was out of soda and was given a bottle of flat soda instead. Other items were okay at best but took almost an hour to come out, which was frustrating considering there were only two other tables with customers in the whole restaurant. I would have been better off at any chain diner or burger place, especially considering what we paid.
